About Bosu
Invented by David Weck, the Bosu Balance Trainer debuted in 2000 and quickly became one of the most successful fitness training products in the world. Originally the name Bosu was an acronym for "Both Sides Up." It meant that the Bosu Balance Trainer could be used on either side, the dome or the platform.Today, the term Bosu has evolved beyond the product to now mean "Both Sides Utilized," a mindful approach to exercise that is meant to be a step beyond traditional training. This new definition and meaning inspired the company to develop additional Bosu products and programming.
On their own, Bosu balls are just molded plastic, weighted rubber, and stability balls with secret filling that need to be engaged to be effective. The Bosu training approach strives to ensure that when you get on the Bosu Balance Trainer, or move with the Bosu Ballast Ball, you are utilizing a feel-good, get-fit, no-regrets training tool.
